Spotlight: Learning by Autonomy, Flexibility and Experience

Anthony Greer, the first recipient of the UA/Munson Foundation Internship Program, worked with The Nature Conservancy in Birmingham, gaining valuable experience researching the organization’s methods of communication and designing a strategic plan for the organization’s future. “This program was a vital learning experience for me,” Greer said. “I have no doubt this will invariably benefit my personal and professional future.”

After a career in integrated marketing, I'd like to be an instructor at a university.

The autonomy which in turn develops life skills necessary for my future.

How has the Munson Foundation internship helped me in my college career:

The internship gave me a chance to use the skills I've developed from class in a real-world situation to benefit an organization having a positive impact on the environment.

How it will help my career:

The internship provided me with irreplaceable work experience that improves both my resume and my idea of what career goals to pursue.
