Congressman Barry Moore represents Alabama’s Second District and is a member of the House Judiciary Committee and House Agriculture Committee and is seeking a Communications & Press Intern. The intern would be responsible for assisting the Communications Director and Deputy Communications Director with daily tasks including preparing press clips, compiling press contact lists, drafting social media posts, creating graphics for social media, drafting press releases, and assisting the Communications Team in preparing the Congressman for media interviews.

The position is open to someone who may be able to start part-time remote work as soon as possible or could relocate to Washington DC in May to work full-time over the summer. The remote position is unpaid and the full-time position is paid.

Interns contribute to the daily operations of the office and are expected to act in a reliable, professional manner at all times. This  internship will offer students and young professionals invaluable experience in a robust communications operation. This opportunity would be invaluable to securing a communications role either on Capitol Hill or in the private sector.
