About:
The Mississippi Industrial Heritage Museum, Inc., a non-profit corporation founded in October 2002, owns the Soulé Steam Feed Works historic site in Downtown Meridian, Mississippi. The museum promotes the heritage, labor, and innovation that influenced and shaped our country’s rise as an industrial and manufacturing pioneer. A nine-member board of directors governs the preservation and educational activities of the museum.
The Museum is seeking an intern to work with staff and volunteers to create an introductory video for visitors. Duties include videography, editing, scriptwriting, community outreach and marketing activities. The student intern will receive a salary of $4,000 for 8 weeks of work this summer. The program is funded by a grant from The Riley Foundation in Meridian.
