MC Social: Social Media Intern

• Location: Tuscaloosa, AL (local candidates preferred) Remote Position 
• Hours: 15-20
• Duration: Can Start ASAP. Semester-based — can prolong internship. 

Responsibilities:

• Content Shoot Assistance:
  • Assist in organizing and participating in monthly content shoots for local clients.
  • Capture behind-the-scenes content for use on MC Social social media platforms.
• Community Engagement:
  • Engage with clients’ social media followers by responding to comments, and messages, and fostering a sense of community.
  • Monitor and report on social media trends and engagement metrics.
• Event Attendance:
  • Willingness to attend client events to create real-time social media content and engage with attendees.
  • Provide live event coverage through posts, stories, and updates.
• Graphic Design:
  • Create on-brand graphics and visual content for specific clients to be used on their social media platforms.
  • Ensure that all graphics align with the client’s branding and messaging.
• Research and Industry Insights:
  • Research and compile details related to the client’s industries, including current social media trends, topics, and emerging strategies.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for social media content based on industry research.
• Local Knowledge (Preferred):
  • Being a local resident of Tuscaloosa is a high priority but not a deciding factor.

Qualifications:

• Strong interest in social media, content creation, and public relations.
• Proficiency in Google Drive, Dropbox, and Canva.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and a team player.
• Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok)
• Ability to attend client events and content shoots as needed.
• High attention to detail and creativity

Compensation:

• $14-$16 an hour, depending on experience.
