The Louisiana Travel Association (LTA) celebrated the best and brightest in the state’s tourism industry during its Annual Meeting in Lafayette, presenting 21 prestigious “Louey Awards” to individuals and organizations making outstanding contributions to Louisiana travel and hospitality.
College of Communication and Information (C&IS) alumni Adrienne Hennis was named the recipient of the distinguished Victor Profis (Southern Living) Memorial Travel Media Award. She was also installed to the LTA Board of Directors during the meeting. Hennis, a Senior Account Executive at Advance Travel & Tourism, was recognized for her dedication to elevating Louisiana’s tourism profile and amplifying the state’s rich cultural offerings through meaningful media collaboration.
Her path towards this award started in the classrooms of Reese Phifer, where she earned her degree. After graduating in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and a minor in Communication Studies, she began her career at Lucky & Company in Birmingham She climbed the ranks within different companies before making it to Advance Travel and Tourism in 2019, where she’s been working ever since.
“I am thrilled to receive the Victor Profis Travel Media Award from the Louisiana Travel Association,” said Hennis. “This recognition inspires our team to continue showcasing the rich and vibrant culture of Louisiana to the world.”
