48 HOURS TO CHANGE FOREVER
Let's Go!

Bama Blitz 2025 starts now!
Give Today!
This year, we’re focusing on a group of students who bring unique perspectives and drive to C&IS—transfer students who begin their academic careers at one institution and have chosen to continue it here at The University of Alabama.. The C&IS Transfer Student Success Fund provides essential support to help these students transition smoothly into our college, offering financial assistance and hands-on opportunities that set them up for success. From internships and leadership programs to innovative learning experiences, this fund ensures that our transfer students are equipped to excel in their studies and prepare for meaningful, impactful careers.
Donating to Bama Blitz can change the life of a C&IS transfer student. Let's help make Bama their home!

Meet Leslie Rosales
Leslie Rosales began her academic journey at Northeast Community College in Rainsville, Alabama, where she majored in Communication Studies and minored in Psychology.
She chose the community college path for its flexibility, smaller class sizes, affordability and the chance to get involved in ways that can be more challenging at larger institutions. That decision gave her a strong foundation and prepared her to thrive at The University of Alabama.
Now in C&IS, Leslie is actively involved as Vice President of Lambda Pi Eta (the C&IS honor society). She is also involved on campus as a TEAM Mentor, Peer Coach, and a member of Tau Sigma Honor Society.
Leslie has said that one of her proudest moments as a transfer student was when a UA professor reached out—unprompted—to offer a letter of recommendation after recognizing Leslie’s initiative and leadership in class. That recognition was a full-circle moment, affirming how her time at community college helped her develop the confidence and work ethic to stand out in a crowd and succeed at UA.
Meet Hunter Dillon
Hunter Dillon transferred to The University of Alabama from Suffolk County Community College in Selden, New York, where he majored in Advertising and Public Relations and minored in Leadership Communication.
At C&IS, Hunter is a part of Minerva—the creative advertising concentration. Through Minerva, he’s been able to dive into hands-on creative work and grow as both a communicator and a collaborator.
When asked about his proudest moments as a transfer student, Hunter shares:
“I joined a first-year interest group, took part in (and won!) the 2024 Homecoming Tide Division, and completed my first semester of Minerva—where I discovered creative skills I didn’t even know I had. But most importantly, I’ve made friends for life.”
Hunter’s journey is a reminder that with the right opportunities and support, transferring can be a launchpad for personal growth, success and lifelong connections."

Meet Madison Allen
Madison Allen transferred to The University of Alabama from Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama, where she double majored in Public Relations and Political Science.
Since arriving at UA, Madison has immersed herself in campus life. She’s involved in the Oakley Society, Alpha Delta Chi Sorority, Baptist Campus Ministries, and serves as a Transfer TEAM Mentor, helping others find their footing just like she did.
When reflecting on her proudest moments as a transfer student, Madison shares:
“The moment I finally felt like a real UA student and not just a visitor was when I could navigate campus without needing a map. And getting accepted into Capstone Agency my first semester! There are so many more, but those stand out.”
Madison’s story shows how getting involved, finding your people, and stepping into new experiences can turn a transfer transition into a true homecoming.
Meet Alisa Jimenez Aguirre
Alisa Jimenez Aguirre began her college journey at Northeast Alabama Community College in Rainsville, Alabama, where she majored in News Media and minored in Spanish.
Now thriving at The University of Alabama, Alisa is actively involved in the Hispanic-Latino Association, Association of Latino Professionals for America, RTDNA, and the National Society of Leadership and Success. Each organization has played a role in helping her grow her confidence, build connections and find her place on campus.
Alisa said, “Some of my proudest moments would be getting involved and meeting new people. I was—and still am—a shy person, but UA and the clubs I’ve joined are helping me come out of my shell. I’m also really proud of making the President’s List. With support from my C&IS professors, classmates, and friends, I’ve been challenged to grow and reach my academic goals.”
Her story is a powerful reminder that stepping outside your comfort zone can lead to growth, success, and new opportunities.
