43rd Annual AEJMC Southeast Colloquium
The College of Communication and Information Sciences is pleased to host the longest-running regional research gathering of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC). We look forward to welcoming dozens of our colleagues in the field of journalism and mass communication to one of the most beautiful campuses in the Southeast. For many, the Colloquium will be homecoming as they have spent years here as a student or faculty member. For others, plan to come and experience the home of The Alabama Crimson Tide for the first time. In addition to hearing, presenting or commenting on research, you’ll have the opportunity to spend time in state-of-the-art facilities where our students, faculty and staff do award-winning work each year
The 2018 AEJMC Southeast Colloquium will be the fifth such event that The University of Alabama has hosted in the 43-year history of the research gathering. It will be preceded by our Ninth Annual Discerning Diverse Voices Symposium, a daylong event on March 8, 2018 that welcomes participants from around campus and elsewhere in the nation. Attendees for the Colloquium are invited to also abstracts for this event, a unique venue for diversity-related research and creative activity.
