Bama Bound is just the beginning! Make your orientation complete by jumping into C&IS with both feet. The Capstone Communication Student Society (CCSS) and Capstone Communication Society (CCS) are both outstanding ways to remain engaged in the College and up-to-date on news, events and everything in between!
About CCSS (for students):
The Capstone Communication Student Society is a College-wide student organization (open to all of our majors) that is an excellent way to get involved in C&IS from day one. Being a member gives you an all-access pass for everything happening in the College, including priority invitations to professional development workshops, networking events with C&IS alumni, and social events with C&IS faculty, staff and the Dean. Memberships are available in annual subscriptions ($35) or academic career memberships ($105).
To purchase a CCSS membership, students should log in to the C&IS Engagement Portal via the link below. Complete the “Capstone Communication Student Society 23-24” application.
Payment can be made in-person via cash or check, at Bama Bound or later at Tisch Student Services (190 Reese Phifer Hall), or via Venmo to @SEC-CIS. Contact Alison Beasley with any questions.
About CCS (for parents/alumni):
Parents and alumni are invited to join the Capstone Communication Society, which is a fantastic way to remain involved with C&IS alongside students. For a gift of any amount, parents will receive “Bama Mom” or “Bama Dad” car decals. For gifts of $100 or more, you will be invited to the Tailgate at Reese Phifer—a pre-game experience in the heart of campus for C&IS alumni and friends.
