Multimedia Services currently has an opening for an unpaid internship that involves working with the award winning television series, Discovering Alabama.

The ideal candidates will have availability for either of two daily shifts (9am-1pm, 1pm-5pm) , Monday through Thursday.  We would like you to be able to work 2 shifts per week.

The internship involves Digital Asset Management of clips and back catalog, captioning, and other standard editing duties.  It is a working television show, so superb organizational skills, and the ability to pay attention to detail are must have qualities for this position.

There may be additional opportunities for small editing and on set opportunities.

Previous knowledge/experience with Microsoft Excel is necessary.  Experience with the Adobe Creative Cloud programs (specifically Adobe Bridge, and Premiere Pro) is a plus.

Co-op/Intern students should be prepared to enter a professional office and be motivated to work hard each day. Duties include, but are not limited to: preparing a wide selection of written and creative materials, monitoring news coverage (traditional and digital) for client issues, facilitating a variety of social media engagement and analysis, maintaining reporter databases, and conducting research into strategic communications best practices, website development and graphic design support.

ACLU of Alabama | Communications Intern

The ACLU of Alabama seeks a dynamic Communications Intern to develop and implement a variety of communications strategies to build support for the ACLU’s work. An affiliate of the American Civil Liberties Union, the mission of the ACLU of Alabama is to protect and advance the civil rights and civil liberties guaranteed in the Bill of Rights of the U.S. Constitution.  This unpaid internship is part-time and has a flexible schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

Interns will work under the direct supervision of the Communications Manager and will have an opportunity to work with the office on a variety of projects and campaigns. Key responsibilities may include:

  • Developing, creating, and editing content for the ACLU of Alabama’s website and social media platforms.

  • Assisting the Communications Manager with media outreach, such as drafting press releases or talking points.

Summit Group’s Food & Beverage team is currently seeking an intern who is specifically interested in gaining digital communication experience. As an intern on the FNB team, you will assist in telling the stories of our clients and the support work we do across multiple platforms. Our work helps to grow and engage our client audiences, raise brand visibility, and support the success of other team efforts by creating a deeper connection between our client beneficiaries and the work we do.

Responsibilities may include:

  1. Client services: Attend client meetings, handle various requests from sales managers, general admin and organization duties
