This year, they have up to nine internships available for female college students who have completed at least one year of school. All of these internships are supplemented by $1,000 scholarships. The paid internships are in four areas: sportswriting, broadcast production, media relations and social media. The media relations position will be working with a sports team or organization.

Last summer AWSM internship winners worked at ESPN, USA Today, Sports Illustrated, MLB.com and USA Softball, among other organizations. They’re putting together a similarly stellar lineup for 2019.
