Dr. Mackenzie Pike’s research explores everyday interactions, with a particular focus on interpersonal communication in sports and health settings. Her work examines how people navigate relationships, identity, and moral decision-making in sports, and how we communicate about our bodies.

Her research has been published in journals including Communication & Sport, the Journal of Eating Disorders, the International Journal of Sport Communication, contributing new perspectives on the role of communication in promoting healthier relationships, framing sports narratives, strengthening communities and enacting thoughtful decision-making.
