Advertising & Public Relations

The Department of Advertising and Public Relations (A+PR) is home to artists and scholars who are passionate about strategic communication. As an A+PR student, you will come to know faculty and fellow students who share your fire for creating big ideas. Together, you will develop campaigns and strategies that move people.

Our mission is to prepare highly competent, socially conscious and engaged leaders to shape the future of global advertising and public relations.

Advertising and Public Relations

Advertising focuses on the promotion of products, services or ideas through paid media. Learn how to understand your audience and create affective messages.

Public Relations

Public relations is the study of public perception. Learn strategies to achieve organizational objectives, influence brand loyalty and affect a diverse, global marketplace.

Graduate Program

Our one-year master’s program offers an emphasis on leadership, management and strategy while our two-year program focuses on research and pedagogy.

All C&IS undergraduate students receive academic advising through Tisch Student Services. You should meet with their academic advisor at least once per semester to review your academic progress, degree requirements and involvement opportunities.

C&IS empowers students to write, speak, design, film and explore through scholarships and awards.
