Who We Are

Located in Reese Phifer, room 166, the Speaking Studio is a campus wide resource designed to help students, faculty, and community partners improve their public speaking, presentation, and oral communication skills.

We aim to help students calm public speaking anxiety. clarify and craft effective messages, and cultivate dynamic delivery.

Speaking Studio appointments help clients with a variety of needs. Our trained consultants help with anything from brainstorming speech topics to delivery of speech content to group project help to lessening public speaking anxiety and more. No matter if you are a first-time public speaker or this is your 100th speech, our consultants are well-prepared to help you reach your public speaking goals.

How to Make an Appointment

Workshops

We offer a wide range of workshops to help bring the studio to the classroom.

Consultants can come to your classroom to conduct a workshop on how do give classroom presentations, overcoming speaking apprehension, and how to give an elevator pitch. We can also build a workshop for your individual needs.
