Brett Hudson is an Instructor in the Department of Journalism and Creative Media at the University of Alabama, where he teaches courses in sports writing and reporting. His teaching draws on extensive professional experience covering college athletics, with a particular focus on football and sports culture in the South. 

Before joining the faculty, Hudson worked as the Alabama football beat writer for The Tuscaloosa News and previously served as a sportswriter for The Crimson White. His reporting background informs his approach to teaching, emphasizing accuracy, sourcing, deadline-driven writing and the realities of covering high-profile sports programs.
