To celebrate Family Weekend at The University of Alabama, the College of Communication & Information Sciences (C&IS) is holding a faculty and staff meet and greet in the Reese Phifer rotunda at 3:00 P.M. on October 11.
“Family Weekend is a great opportunity for students to introduce their parents to the people who have made the most difference in their lives,” said Genesis Drake, events coordinator. “It’s also a great way to meet the dean and grab snacks before venturing out onto the quad.”
C&IS encourages students and parents to stop by and share snacks with their favorite instructors, professors or mentors. Refreshments will be provided by Tisch Student Services, and C&IS merch will be available for purchase from the Student Executive Council (SEC).
Family Weekend is an annual celebration of students and their families. Overseen by Parent & Family Programs in the Division of Student Life, the three-day event includes a variety of campus tours, open houses and celebrations.
