Job Title: Account Specialist
Job Description
A team member in one of these roles is expected to work with a full client roster from a variety of industries in a fast-paced work environment. Previous work with an agency is a plus. The chosen candidate must be flexible, organized, detail- and deadline-oriented, able to learn new software and technology quickly, and able to work independently among their various projects and accounts with multiple account managers. The selected applicant will also have excellent writing skills (with proficiency in AP Style), experience in traditional and digital media relations, experience managing client and vendor relationships (i.e. graphic designers, web designers, consultants, photographers, etc.), knowledge and experience in strategic communication planning and execution, and knowledge of and experience in creating/executing social media campaigns, blogs and other online content. Requirements include living in or relocating to the metro Memphis area, and a hybrid work schedule (three days in an office, two days at home if desired). Desired Skills and Expertise
Bachelor’s degree in public relations, integrated communications, strategic communications or similar
Two to four years of experience in the PR industry
Strong social media skills
Exemplary writing skills
Media relations experience
Experience with platforms such as Meta/Business Suite/Ads Manager, LinkedIn, MailChimp, HeyOrca or social media planning tools, media monitoring services, Google Business Suite, Wrike or task management tools, as well as Canva and smartphone video/photo capability
Past agency experience or in-house PR experience (preferred)
