NASCAR Next Summer Internship Program

About the Program 
The NASCAR Next Internship Program is a paid opportunity designed for undergraduate and graduate students from diverse backgrounds and experiences who want to contribute to the fast-paced world of NASCAR. The program offers practical, hands-on experience across a variety of disciplines critical to both the sport and its business operations, providing students with a unique behind-the-scenes look at the motorsports industry. 

Program Eligibility 
To qualify for the NASCAR Next Internship Program, applicants must meet the following criteria: 

  • Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program or be a recent graduate within the 2026 school year. 
  • Be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the United States. Temporary visas will not be issued for this program. 
  • Be at least a sophomore in college at the time of application. 
  • Be willing to relocate to Florida, North Carolina, or other locations across the United States as required by the position. 

Placement Details 
Interns are assigned to a specific department or organization for the duration of the program, where they contribute to meaningful projects and initiatives that support NASCAR’s operations and growth. 

Depending on the department, interns may be based in the Daytona Beach, Florida, or Charlotte/Concord, North Carolina offices. A select number of placements may also be available with racetracks, race teams or external partners across the industry. 

Interns typically work a full-time, 40-hour week (Monday–Friday) and may participate in occasional evening or weekend events as part of their experience. 

Application & Selection Process 

Selected interns are matched to roles based on their skills, experiences, and interests outlined in the application, as well as departmental needs. 

The application process includes the following steps: 

  • Submit your application and select up to three areas of interest that best align with your career goals. 
  • Applications are reviewed by the recruiting team, and the most qualified candidates will be invited to complete a video interview submission. 
  • Finalists will be invited to participate in live interviews with the hiring team via Microsoft Teams during January and February.
