Position Overview:
The U.S. PDCA is seeking a creative, motivated Social Media Intern to help manage and grow our digital presence across platforms. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys storytelling through visuals, understands short-form video, and is excited about building engagement for a national sport organization.
You do not need to be a diver. However, we are looking for someone who understands or appreciates artistic or Olympic-style sports such as diving, gymnastics, figure skating, or cheer, and who has strong creative instincts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and schedule content across PDCA social media platforms, including Instagram, X, Facebook, and LinkedIn
- Create graphics, reels, short-form videos, and promotional content using tools such as Canva
- Highlight coaches, athletes, programs, events, awards, and PDCA initiatives
- Assist with campaigns tied to symposiums, town halls, advocacy efforts, and educational resources
- Help maintain consistent brand voice, tone, and visual identity
- Track engagement and suggest ideas for growth and improvement

Writing, Storytelling, & Communications Intern

Position Overview:
The U.S. PDCA is seeking a Writing, Storytelling, and Communications Intern to help capture and share the stories that define the sport of diving. This role plays a central part in shaping how PDCA communicates with the broader diving community, beyond its membership.
The intern will contribute to a new public-facing PDCA newsletter and other written platforms by developing feature stories, interviews, and narrative content that informs, connects, and inspires.
This position is ideal for someone interested in journalism, creative writing, sport communications, or nonprofit storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and write feature stories about divers, coaches, programs, and initiatives at all levels of the sport
- Conduct interviews via Zoom, phone, or email and translate them into compelling written pieces
- Assist in developing and curating content for a new PDCA community newsletter
- Draft articles, spotlights, and written updates for PDCA platforms
- Collaborate with social media and leadership teams to align messaging across platforms
- Ensure writing reflects PDCA’s mission, values, and professional tone
Qualifications:
- Strong writing and editing skills with a clear, engaging voice
- Background or coursework in journalism, creative writing, communications, or related fields preferred
- Comfortable conducting interviews and managing deadlines
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently
- Familiarity with tools such as Google Docs, Canva, Mailchimp, or WordPress is a plus

The intern will help identify and organize diving alumni across high school, club, collegiate, and elite levels, creating a centralized resource that supports long-term outreach and connection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and compile diving alumni information nationwide
- Build and maintain a structured alumni database, including contact information, affiliations, and career paths
- Assist in developing outreach strategies to engage alumni
- Support alumni recognition, storytelling, and future engagement initiatives
