Knight Eady Internships – Summer/Fall 2026

Knight Eady is a full-service event, strategy and creative agency based in Birmingham, Alabama that works with top sports clients nationwide. At Knight Eady, we desire to create unforgettable experiences while helping brands imagine, generate, and connect with sports enthusiasts. Our team is made up of driven, energetic and focused individuals who are passionate about sports and experiential marketing. Summer 2026 Creative Intern:

This position, under the supervision of the Creative Directors and the creative team will support the entire portfolio of Knight Eady clients and events.

  • Collaborate with the creative team, account managers and event directors on design projects, managing timelines and assets and final project delivery
  • Create concepts for client campaigns, events and new business opportunities that meet outlined strategies and business goals and take the quality of design, strategic accuracy, and adherence to client goals and brand style guidelines into account
  • Design for a broad range of creative projects, including but not limited to digital, social media, web, print, event signage, presentations, etc.
  • Generate original visual executions that are both exciting and creatively attractive
  • Deliver work of the highest quality after working with team members to develop new ideas
  • Work with the project’s art director and account managers to establish appropriate creative directions
  • Stay abreast of new media formats and learn how to incorporate them into campaigns
  • Work with senior designers and art directors to establish new skills and insights
  • Keep management in the loop and effectively escalate roadblocks when necessary
  • This position might require working an adjusted schedule including evenings and weekends as needed during events

Fall 2026 Events Intern:

This position, under the supervision of the Vice President of Events, Director of Events, Event Director, and events team will support the entire portfolio of Knight Eady clients and events.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist at each summer event where needed both prior to event date and onsite at event.
  • Pre-event tasks include but are not limited to volunteer management, inventorying, organization of event supplies, research, team communication, transferring information from forms to spreadsheets, etc.
  • Onsite tasks include but are not limited to sponsor activation execution, organizing, supplying and filling coolers and beverage product, volunteer management, load-in/break-down, etc.
  • Events to include:
    • Ballin in Boutwell – Birmingham, Alabama – October 12-16th
    • Rocket City Classic – Huntsville, Alabama – December 15th
    • CM Newton Classic – Birmingham, Alabama – December 12th
  • Collaborate with the events team, account managers and creative on upcoming events and project including managing timelines, budget, working with venues, vendors and more
  • Contribute to the organization and management of all rented or purchased Knight Eady equipment, supply inventory, and storage areas.
  • Assist in event planning and research for new event locations, venues, equipment, vendors, etc.
  • Participate in internal and external pre-event meetings
  • Work with senior leaders to establish new skills and insights
  • Keep management in the loop and effectively escalate roadblocks when necessary
  • Learn to properly, effectively, and efficiently work in the Google Suite, Monday.com, and Slack
  • This position might require working an adjusted schedule including evenings and weekends as needed during events
  • Other duties as assigned

Fall 2026 Event Marketing Intern:

Responsibilities:

This position, under the supervision of the Strategy Director and Strategy department, will support the entire portfolio of Knight Eady clients and events.

  • Collaborate with the agency services team, account managers and event directors on strategy, marketing and communications projects, managing timelines, creative team and final project delivery
  • Create and curate engaging marketing and communications content including but not limited to press releases, blog posts, social media content, press events, etc
  • Build and update media lists for press material distribution. Distribute and follow up with media lists. Provide media support on-site at events including but not limited to providing support in press conferences, distributing statistics in-game, facilitating athlete and coach interviews and supporting the execution of on-site media coordination
  • Serve the media relations and larger KE team on-site at events providing media operations, social media support and other duties as assigned (subject to change event schedule- Spring events will include ASHAA State Finals, Conference USA Basketball Championships, Elevate the Stage, American Conference Basketball Championships and the Lutzie43 Golf Invitational) 
  • Create research-driven social media strategies. Collaborate with internal teams to obtain necessary content. Execute and analyze social media strategies including execution of in-game social media strategy on-site at events
  • Research, ideate and execute grassroots marketing strategies to strengthen the presence of clients and events in the local community
  • Provide innovative and refreshed ideas for assigned accounts based on research and current trends
  • Deliver work of the highest quality after working with team members to develop new ideas
  • Manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously while maintaining each unique brand voice and tracking on individual client goals
  • Work with Strategy Director and Strategists to establish new skills and insights
  • Keep management in the loop and effectively escalate roadblocks when necessary
  • Other duties as assigned, including cross-departmental support on-site at events.

Fall 2026 Sales Intern:

This intern would help with sales related tasks like creating contracts, generating leads, managing scripts at events and supporting our sales team’s daily operations.
