LA-based production company Aegis Creative Media is on the lookout for an enthusiastic intern to join our team for the Fall semester of 2026. We’re searching for an individual enrolled in an entertainment-focused degree program, eager to gain hands-on experience in exchange for academic credit. This is a virtual position.
Aegis Creative Media (ACM) is dedicated to protecting and elevating women-led content that instills and reflects agency, diversity and parity, while providing actionable steps for audiences as highlighted through our storytelling. ACM is comprised of founders Alethea Root, Jennifer Sorenson and Meredith Riley Stewart. Their first feature together, FOR WHEN YOU GET LOST, won the Audience Award for Best Comedy at the 2023 Austin Film Festival and has recently been released on Amazon, Apple and Tubi. Among the 3 partners, they have produced seven other features and many shorts and webseries. ACM holds the option to a successful off-Broadway play and is currently focused on producing a film from this IP.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research on industry-related trends
- Overseeing communication threads and providing timely information
- Task prioritization for weekly meetings
- Participation in the script development process
- Offering insights during the packaging process
- Weekly meeting agenda creation
- Self-guided follow-up between weekly meetings
- Creating and maintaining spreadsheets of contacts and outreach
- Taking minutes during weekly meetings
- Overseeing deadlines for grant applications
- Helping create email marketing campaigns to ACM’s audience
- Creating and maintaining a marketing calendar
SKILLS WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong administrative skills (internal documents, spreadsheets)
- Strong organizational skills (files, document labeling)
- Demonstrated interest in the entertainment industry
- Proactive nature
THE DETAILS
- ~10 hours/week, weekly Zoom meetings required
- Optional extra work sessions with company members
- Access to LA industry screenings & networking events (WIF, Greenlight Women, SAG) when geographically possible
- Potential for a future paid role as projects move into pre-production
