WVUA 23 News is looking for interns interested in co-hosting the station’s home football game tailgate receptions at Reese Phifer Hall.
Event set up will take place late Friday afternoons in the Dean’s suite and on the terrace overlooking University Boulevard (2 hours). Event responsibilities will begin three hours before kickoff (times set by TV networks) and end one hour after (4 hours total).
Saturday responsibilities are fun and light:
- welcome and check in guests;
- mix and mingle with station guests, clients, and alumni;
- light table service (clearing plates and glasses);
- and, event breakdown.
You need to be flexible (Saturday timing), reliable, friendly, and professionally-presenting. Station logo wardrobe may be supplied. Pay is $10/hour.
Availability of a minimum of three of the seven home game Saturdays required. Home games are scheduled for September 5th, September 19th, September 26th, October 10th, October 24th, November 21st, and November 28th.
