About the Alabama Industrial Assessment Center (AIAC):

Established in 2007 and one of thirty-seven industrial assessment centers, the AIAC is funded by the Department of Energy.

Intern position: Marketing/PR/Client Recruitment Internship; Part-time job
Duration: up to 10 hours a week
Intern Type: In person

Qualifications:

Will be a sophomore or junior next fall (Fall 2024)
Detail oriented
Comfortable contacting potential clients and organizations related to manufacturing in Alabama

Responsibilities:

Maintaining a marketing plan
Researching relevant organizations/groups and creating/maintaining a database of information (group name, contact information, contact history)
Contacting groups/organizations that are identified – student must be knowledgeable of professional email etiquette
Researching potential clients and creating/maintaining a database of Information (client name, contact information, contact history)
Contacting potential clients and contacting previous clients about grant availability/establishing relationship
Creation of marketing materials such as flyers/one pagers to send to potential clients/organizations to assist in finding clients, posters to take to “industrial fairs”, and PowerPoint presentations.
Working with social media/web design team to ensure good online communications (LinkedIn, AIAC Website)
Attend weekly/bi-weekly meetings
