As our Membership Marketing Intern, you will assist with the planning, organizing, and coordinating the execution of strategic marketing campaigns for the acquisition, engagement, and retention of Shipt members. This is a cross-functional and collaborative role where you will help bring an innovative approach to customer-centric solutions. Our ideal candidate is curious, a creative problem-solver, and willing to explore new solutions to bring added value to Shipt members.
How You’ll Spend Your Summer
- Working closely with various marketing teams including Strategy, Creative, and Brand to support key initiatives of Membership Marketing
- Staying informed of competitive membership trends and supporting the creation of competitive and industry assessments to aid in developing near to long term customer-driven strategies
- Supporting the execution of near-term membership strategies to acquire and retain members, including of defining measurable goals and working cross-functionally with partners to bring strategies to life
- Supporting the development of future planning for membership experiences, including generating new ideas for growth based on data and research, business case creation to support idea development, and prioritization across set criteria to develop recommendations
What You’ll Need to be Successful
- Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Advertising, or similar
- Knowledge of planning, executing, and analysis for marketing campaigns and communications
- General knowledge of marketing programs, loyalty marketing or digital marketing is a plus
- Experience working cross-functionally with multiple diverse teams, including stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent project management skills, demonstrated ability to multitask effectively
- Take a consumer-centric approach to marketing that balances insights and evidence/data

- Demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously
- Think strategically and holistically, then dive in to manage the details
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a culture of experimentation, yet value the need to organize and plan
- Creative and entrepreneurial mindset; a love to think outside the box or take the uncharted path
- Experience working for a marketplace company or company with a subscription model is a plus
Work Arrangement
This is a full-time remote or hybrid (for those based in Birmingham, AL, San Francisco, CA, or Minneapolis, MN) Summer 2025 Internship. Our program will run for 10 weeks, beginning on Monday, June 2, 2025, and ending on Friday, August 8, 2025. All interns will maintain a consistent, full-time work schedule and participate fully in program activities.
Shipt considers candidates located near a Shipt office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid, which means that they have the flexibility to work from home (with leader approval) or at a Shipt office in order to facilitate the ability to innovate, collaborate, and spark team connections. In-office expectations will vary by role and leader.
