About:

The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum collects, preserves, and interprets the evolving history and traditions of country music. Through exhibits, publications, and educational programs, the Museum teaches its diverse audiences about the enduring beauty and cultural importance of country music. Located in downtown Nashville, the Hall of Fame and Museum has been called the “Smithsonian of country music,” celebrated for its broad cultural impact, educational mission, and unrivaled collection of historically important artifacts related to country music. Chartered by the state of Tennessee in 1964, the Museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, educational organization.

More than 1.5 million guests explored the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum in 2022, placing it among the most visited history museums in the country. Located in the heart of downtown Nashville, as an intern, you’ll be steps away from the honky–tonks on Broadway; other cultural institutions, such as the Ryman Auditorium, National Museum of African American Music, Frist Art Museum, and the Nashville Symphony; a short ride to East Nashville, known for its vibrant and eclectic music and food scenes; shopping and restaurants in the Gulch; and the green, outdoor spaces of Centennial Park (known for its full-scale replica of the Parthenon); and more.

Important Dates for the Fall 2024 Internship Program

Internship and Field Forward Stipend Applications Due | by Monday, June 24, 2024
Interview Period | Tuesday, June 25, 2024 – Tuesday, July 9, 2024
Internships and Field Forward Stipends Offered | Week of July 15, 2024
Final candidates will be given three days to accept or decline the internship offer.
Fall 2024 Internship Dates | Wednesday, September 18, 2024 – Friday, December 13, 2024
